About Sam

My name is Samantha, but you can call me Sam. I am a Personal Chef and Wellness Retreat Organizer, and I am so glad to meet you!

I cannot remember a time in my life that I wasn’t a part of serving food to people. The truth is, I grew up in kitchens. On summer mornings as a child I would help chop onions for my grandfather’s hot dog cart. I toasted baskets of bread at my
father’s breakfast restaurant when I was barely tall enough to reach over the counter. As I got older the helping became work and the work became more refined. Growing up in a coveted coastal town on the East Coast afforded me over a decade of experience in upscale dining at high-volume restaurants. From
serving to cooking to managing— every summer of my life I took care of people whose second homes were on the island I grew up on, and it always mattered to me that they leave with a good impression.

I spent a number of years traveling, living in gorgeous cities like Barcelona and London. I also spent time living in the Balkans, where the local cuisine is something I still dream of. I eventually opened my own restaurant back home— an intimate cafe called Soma that offered monthly, themed Supper Clubs. That concept, combined with my experience abroad, evolved into the Personal Chef & Retreat Services that I offer today.

Catering can be a great option for certain occasions. For others, a special touch and certain ambience makes all the difference. This is what I provide.I am all about fellowship— helping to facilitate the gathering of friends and family is an honor to me, whether it be in your home or on one of the retreats I organize. I offer carefully selected, locally sourced ingredients and love to share stories of where my inspirations come from. I will work to incorporate your style into a menu that suits your taste buds and your budget. Whatever you have to celebrate— I bring a lifetime of service to the table, and I’m here to help you cherish it.
